We were approached by a media influencer who had been looking for some time for a designer she could work with and a high end product to suit her budget. Our client had already renovated her home but the kitchen was the final and most important room for her. She had a strong sense of what she wanted for her kitchen and had a large fully glazed extension to the rear of the house. With a clean sharp white interior throughout, any colour would have worked but we needed a bit of drama and a focal point in this big open space.
PROJECT DETAILS
A dramatic dark island with in-frame Shaker cabinetry stands proud in the centre of the room with soft classic lay-on cabinetry framing the outer walls. The simple modern chimney breast frames the range cooker with reduced depth open units at either side for favourite oil, spices and herbs.
A worktop standing breakfast unit to the far left with Bi-Fold doors is easily accessed by everyone without encroaching on the main cooking and prep space.
