The island being situated opposite the ovens becomes a great prep space which has great access to the ovens and the sink. Everything is to hand and has been thought out for ease of use for the chef of the family. Drawers are fitted with cutlery and utensil inserts and deep drawers ensure ample storage for the pots and pans. The room is large enough to have a separate dining table so seating wasn’t required for the island giving all round access to counter-top space. 

Pull-out tall larder units give ease of access from both sides for all dry food storage and the integrated fridge and freezer gives the design consistency in colour and finish to the cabinetry design. 

We used a white wash on the veneered oak to lighten the finish reducing the warmer tones of the natural oak. This complements the flooring and all doors used throughout the home.

 The black wall units lift the design just enough to give the overall look its own personality which complements the handles and appliances which are so often overlooked when it comes to pulling the whole project together.  

We really enjoyed creating this kitchen.
